Broker-Provided Information
Where a broker submits an enquiry on a customer's behalf, they may provide the customer's name, email address, and telephone number. The broker must confirm they have the customer's consent, and BoatMove records the date of that confirmation and which account gave it.
Platform Communications
Messages sent through the platform are automatically screened. We store both the original unscreened text and the screened version, record any contact details detected, and log off-platform declarations. This information may be reviewed by staff for platform integrity, dispute resolution, and fee protection.

When you use our public cost estimator or transport recommender, we log the enquiry details together with your IP address and browser user agent. This helps prevent abuse, apply rate limits, and improve our estimates.
